It’s time to decorate your house for Halloween! These houses have style without their Halloween decor, but they are even more amazing with a pumpkin or two or ten.
I drove around the other day to photograph two houses that I think have style. When I got to both of the houses their Halloween decorations where up. It was even better. I then decided to find more cute houses. So… here are some of the houses around me that I vote stylish and fun. Enjoy the pictures! I hope you feel inspired, I know I do!
This first house was simple, two pumpkins sitting on beautiful teal ceramic planters. The colors where amazing together, loved it.
Simple green wreath with burlap. This is a classy-clean look.
This second house is one of my favorites in my area. Whenever anyone is in the car with me I have to point out it and it’s green shutters. I think this house has tons of charm!
I love old houses, especially when they are taken care of so well.
I love the black and orange sheer strips of fabric hanging from the front porch.
This house is a beautiful bungalow. I would love to have an old bungalow to fix-up someday. Houses with character are the best in my opinion.
I am going to find me a cute flower pot this weekend and stick a pumpkin on it. So fun!
I loved all of the pumpkins and hay bales on the porch of this house. Lot’s of clever little touches.
Even the bird feeder was ready for Halloween.
Putting little pumpkins in the window box was one of my favorite touches.
This house was simple and classy too. Just decor on the door and those fun aqua chairs.
Now that I am inspired I need to go bust out my own Halloween decorations!
Big THANKS to all the homeowners that let me take pictures of their houses.
Tulips and Fish

I have had these bottles forever, but in a box….
I just moved and now have the counter space to put them out. I love them. I bought these at an estate sale in San Diego. I have many favorite finds from estate sales. ( Hmm.. I’ll share the rest in another post soon). Any-who, there are lots of tulips in my new yard so I thought they’d be fun in my fishy bottles. Makes me happy to have fresh flowers in my house.
I love the details on these bottles.
Do you have a fun vase that makes your heart happy? Please share it by e-mail lynnspins@gmail.com and maybe I’ll add it to this post.
Cowboy Nursery

Mr. Beck turns one in two days!!!! Holy Cow! Oh, my little man. I can’t believe it. ahhhh….. anyway. Here is a cute idea for a not over the top nursery theme. (or too cheesy or too cutesy) It’s a cowboy nursery for my little man. Oh, if he wasn’t in bed right now I would go squeeze him…so cute!
I took some boards from Home Depot, stained them, sanded them(to make them a little more rustic looking), hot glued robe around the edges, put the vinyl on and waalaa!
Cowboy art or a little stink’n cute man!
I got my vinyl from HouseHoldWords on etsy.
My pictures of the room are kinda crappy and I really don’t like the green I painted the walls. But OH Well… it’s done

My Curtains- a heated debate

My 6 foot 3 inch tall hubby can’t see out our kitchen window while doing the dishes “Because the curtains are too low!” To solve this horrible problem I have created, he takes the entire curtain and curtain rod off the hooks and sets it somewhere in our kitchen. Not too much of a big deal as he can easily reach it and put it back up when he is done. For some reason though, it annoys the heck out of me! Love you Dev. It’s ok, because I know those curtains annoy him too :). I am after all the one who put them up and at 5’6″, I was not thinking of Dev’s vantage point. But, being the super nice and handy wife that I am, I decided (after 5 years) to fix it .
I think your supposed to hang your curtains as high the ceiling anyway to make your windows look bigger…or something like that. Anywhooo, they do look much better now and some how the room looks a tiny bit bigger. Tell me what you think here’s the picture.
(Above sink window not a pictured due to large amount of dishes usually in sink).
Tools I used. Love this small drill. Every girl should have one.
