I really enjoyed reading this post and the comments from other ladies. I’m 18 weeks and still feeling sick all the time. Nice to know I’m not the only one, especially when everyone keeps saying it will pass. I have to eat every two hours or nausea hits like a ton of bricks. What has worked the best for me has been poweraide and goldfish crackers. All the B vitamins in the poweraide really help. I drink some of that and eat a few goldfish crackers before I even get out of bed. Plus, if your body is being depleted because of all the vomiting poweraide helps tokeep your electrolytes in balance.
Oh thank you for this list. I am on baby #4 – was sick with all of them but this one is by far the worst. Awful! Some I knew about while others are new. I will definitely be trying out the new ideas very very soon!!
This is a great post, I tried a lot of these things during my pregnancies that unfortunately didn’t help but I apparently had super extreme cases(ended up with a PICC line and TPN) of Hyperemesis Gravidarium which is what severe morning sickness is called. The website http://www.helpher.org helped me with a lot different info and a community of people who have been through it. I’m so glad you had friends to help out and encourage people to pay it forward. I unfortunately did not have as good of a support network and I truly do believe it would have helped. To all of the ladies out there going through it, IT WILL ABSOLUTELY BE WORTH IT! My 2 little boys are the light of my life
Thank you! Found this on Pinterest and I am so grateful. I’m in the middle of my first pregnancy right now, at 5&1/2 months and I have been nothing but terrible, I’ve lost 17 pounds and have only just started to be able to go a day, or half a day without throwing up. While I have a few other issues these tips will totally help on the days there is no relief! Thanks again!
Thank you so much for the tips! I’m feeling like poo and we decided not to to our family until our first appointment, so I only have my hubby to talk to. Sometimes you just need a girly input!
